Christianity Today has a quiz on their website that determines how you view the relationship between politics and faith. I thought it asked some good questions. After taking the two part quiz you end up being labeled either a Radical Reformer, Thumpin’ Theocrat, Quiet Critic or Private Patriot. I ended up scoring as a Radical Reformer, though close to the border of being a Quiet Critic. A Radical Reformer is described as:
Radical Reformers see a strong prophetic role for the church and combine this with a robust call for political engagement to seek social and political change.
Quiet Critics are described as:
Quiet Critics steer away from a direct role for the church in politics, instead emphasizing the church’s purity by maintaining a separation from the state. From this perspective, the church best shares the gospel by being an alternative community that models Christian love.
Thumpin’ Theocrats are:
Thumpin’ Theocrats sound the call for renewing a Christian America by recapturing its godly heritage.
And Private Patriots are described as:
Private Patriots also connect religious practice with support of the nation, but their application of faith to politics is as an outgrowth of personal piety rather than church involvement.
Anyways, go check it out and let me know how you score!

Radical reformer. 47 on the first score, 23 on the second.
Holla…
I am a Quiet Critic but right on the cusp of being a Radical Reformer. 33 and 20.
FYI I got a 40 and 16.
Ooooh. I’m definitely borderline between Quiet Critic and Radical Reformer: 35 and 22.
Got a 46 and a15 here.
BTW, all the books that were listed for the Radical Reformer, save one, I actually own already.
I guess I knew it already.
SCM
Quiet Critic. I’ve already read The Myth of a Christian Nation. Loved it. *adds other books to Amazon wish list*
But I have a tad of a radical reformer in me. Who knows?
